Sam has a brilliant way of making Mac Demarco-esque tones sound beautiful but eerie. He combines high-pitched melodies with sounds of sadness and lonesomeness, but in a way that breeds positivity in darkness. You can hear the work put into this record by the layering of guitars and the little sounds here and there that are almost minuscule but perfect the record. This is the kind of record every solo artist wishes they could make.
